My Personal Learning Network has grown to incorporate many new people, spaces, and tools. For example, I have met many other students within my major and studying education. This has allowed me to reach out for help and continue my learning with peer support throughout my path to becoming an educator. I also have been introduced to spaces and tools such as the technology sandbox which have allowed me to explore the many different resources that are available to me when planning what to use in my classroom. Nothing from my initial PLN has gone away keeping it growing and evolving every day including my professors, peers, social media, etc.       Data collection will be very helpful when receiving feedback from parents and students about my classroom environment. I plan on teaching 2nd grade where the students will be mostly using physical resources, but these surveys can be very useful when sending out newsletters in which the parents can fill...

The design principles I used when designing my website included creating clear and consistent sections with headers and bolded letters as well as using spacers and columns to show different topics. Something that I liked about creating the website was getting to explore the different functions that Weebly has to offer. Being introduced to the map, calendar, and form functions were things that I had never seen before on a website that could be helpful in my future of designing. Something I didn't like however was the stubborn qualities of the application. When I tried to adjust the dimensions of certain images or backgrounds, there were limitations on what I could do making some of my images seem elongated or disproportional. In my future I can use this website design tool to create my own teacher website where I update parents, students, and faculty about the ongoing policies and events in my classroom      A creative way I can use QR codes in my class...

I visited the Jensen Beach High School page ( https://www.martinschools.org/o/jbhs) which had many different elements open to the public. Some of these included their news reports, upcoming events, staff, and athletics. These are things that many families looking at prospective high schools may want to see. On the other hand, the more personal information was hidden from the public in order to keep student confidentiality safe. This includes many photos and assignments done by the kids which require consent in order to be posted.      Some technology that I will use as a teacher to improve my productivity is a digital planner such as Notion. Having each day planned out with lessons and time frames is very helpful in order to stay organized have effective ratios of teaching time and breaks. Another tool that I will use is folders or virtual binders in order to have a collection of lesson plans ready to go in case of emergency or if I become in need of ...

A standard that I am very confident in implementing in my classroom is " SC.K.HS.1.4  Explain that some information is private and should not be shared online or in person." In my own words, this standard means to protect young children from sharing personal information with strangers in order to keep them safe. This is extremely important to learn at a young age because dangerous people can persuade children to share their personal information very easily and we must equip our students with the knowledge to prevent this. I feel confident in implementing this in my classroom because I can have honest and educational discussions about this topic and clearly explain the dangers of online spaces.      The lesson plans attached as a resource for teachers is very helpful because it can provide teachers with new creative ideas to achieve the standards in their classrooms. Many teachers struggle with how to engage their students while trying to apply the...

I enjoy blogging because it allows me to share my opinions and experiences about a variety of topics. It is an outlet for expressing myself through writing and also sharing information with other people in the class. Through these assignments I have learned a lot about blogging and how I could potentially use it in the future. Finding other teachers who blog could also be very useful for me to find other resources for my personal learning network.      I believe that using AI in the classroom can be helpful when creating lesson plans and generating new and unique ideas. With all of this in mind, it is still very important to check the accuracy and validity of the content it generates because it could be incorrect. AI will keep on improving as time goes on and it will be a ever present factor in my students' lives so I must be able to keep up with the technology in order to best educate my students. Though I do think it can be helpful for teachers, stu...
