I visited the Jensen Beach High School page (https://www.martinschools.org/o/jbhs) which had many different elements open to the public. Some of these included their news reports, upcoming events, staff, and athletics. These are things that many families looking at prospective high schools may want to see. On the other hand, the more personal information was hidden from the public in order to keep student confidentiality safe. This includes many photos and assignments done by the kids which require consent in order to be posted.
Some technology that I will use as a teacher to improve my productivity is a digital planner such as Notion. Having each day planned out with lessons and time frames is very helpful in order to stay organized have effective ratios of teaching time and breaks. Another tool that I will use is folders or virtual binders in order to have a collection of lesson plans ready to go in case of emergency or if I become in need of a lesson for a specific standard or subject.
I think that AI can be effective at creating new and unique ideas for teachers that may be experiencing burnout. However, I believe that human teacher expertise is needed to include the step by step actions of a lesson plan. This is due to the personal experiences that teachers have with their students that give them more insight on the realistic functions of the children which is what makes a lesson plan "good" or effective. Evaluating the AI lesson plans changed the way that I look at my own because it gave me clear criteria to look that when developing my own and making sure that they are appropriate for my students. Overall, I liked the Canvas Group tool because it allowed me to collaborate with my peers and test out the many tools in Canvas in order to be able to create my own page as a teacher in the future.
